Lashawn Sam is a native of Queens, NewYork. Her husband, James and she decided to move to Raleigh, North Carolina in December 1998. They believed this would be a good place to raise their four beautiful children; Janasia -28, Justin -22, Jordan -I7 and Josiah who is seven. This transition was a new start for the Sam family.

 

In 2000, LaShawn was pregnant with her 3rd child her daughter was born prematurely at 23 weeks the baby lived for 30 days and transitioned as her mother held her in her arms. This was a difficult time for both of them. LaShawn did not know how she could get over this, but a week later she gave her life to Christ and realized that everyone has a purpose. James and LaShawn’s daughter came to fulfill her purpose which was to introduce her mother and father to Christ. 

 

At the time Lashawn was under Pastor James Thorpe of Rehoboth Family Worship Center. LaShawn worked in the ministry fulfilling many positions. She worked as an Usher, Liturgical Dance Instructor, Mentor of Young Women and Church Administrator. In 2002, LaShawn had become an Evangelist and began to preach God’s Word. In 2009, the Lord had called her husband, James to the Ministry. He was ordained as Pastor In 20I0. He became the Pastor of Rivers of Living Water, and they joined Hidden Manna Ministries International under the tutelage of the Presiding Prelate Bishop Cranford Davis. 

 

In 20I4,LaShawn was ordained as an Elder of God’s Church. In the Fellowship, she is the Sr. Administrator for Bishop Cranford Davis. LaShawn knows and understands that the Lord has brought her a mighty  long way. Through all of the trials and tribulations that she had gone through, He was there. She is forever grateful and thankful for the Lord keeping her for this purpose in time to help, assist and support women through this ministry work, Diamonds In God’s Eyes.
